Generous contribution continues to propel the Leading The Pack campaign
Murray State Athletics has received a transformational investment of $250,000 from an anonymous investor in Murray, it was announced on Monday.
Â
The gift counts towards the department's Leading The Pack capital campaign that the Racers publicly announced in March. The campaign supports numerous strategic initiatives, capital progress and revenue share.
Â
"We are deeply thankful for this extraordinary investment in the future of Murray State University and the continued belief in the direction of our institution from this anonymous supporter," Murray State University President Dr. Ron Patterson said. "The generosity of our supporters and the unwavering pride of Racer Nation continue to strengthen our momentum, create transformational opportunities for our student-athletes and position Murray State for an even brighter future."
"We are appreciative for this transformational investment in the future of Murray State Athletics and the confidence it reflects in our vision from this anonymous investor from Murray," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "The generosity of our supporters continues to fuel the momentum of the Leading The Pack campaign as we pursue our $100 million goal and provide championship-caliber opportunities for our student-athletes. Every gift strengthens our ability to invest in people, facilities and programs, and we are thankful for those who continue to believe in what we are building at Murray State."
Â
Over the last two years, Murray State has raised a school-record $44.5 million dollars in support of new facilities, initiatives and championship resources. That total was made possible by 16, seven-figure gifts, which also amounts to the most in department history.
The $44.5 million is committed towards the department's bold, comprehensive $100 million fundraising campaign, Leading The Pack, which was created to further position itself for the future by investing in student-athlete success and wellness, revenue share and competitive resources and world-class facilities.
