Newly-implemented products will continue to enhance departmental efficiencies and student-athlete experience
Murray State Athletics has announced an expansion of its comprehensive partnership with Teamworks, allowing the department to further streamline internal operations, enhance student-athlete services and position the Racers for continued success in an increasingly complex collegiate landscape.
Â
The Teamworks platform will begin rolling out across Murray State Athletics immediately, supporting all Racer student-athletes and athletics staff as the department continues its commitment to innovation, operational excellence and a first-class student-athlete experience.
Â
"Our responsibility is to provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to succeed while ensuring we are operating efficiently and responsibly," Murray State University President Dr. Ron Patterson said. "This partnership reflects our commitment to innovation and positions Murray State Athletics to meet the demands of today's collegiate environment while enhancing the overall experience for our student-athletes."
Â
"As college athletics continues to evolve, it is essential that we invest in innovative technology that enhances both the student-athlete experience and the way we operate as a department," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "Teamworks provides an integrated operating system that allows us to better serve our student-athletes while streamlining critical areas including compliance, student-athlete health and welfare, communications and financial operations. This partnership is another example of our commitment to providing a championship-level experience in everything that we do."
Â
Teamworks will modernize several administrative processes that were previously managed manually. The platform will automate key financial workflows, allowing department staff to operate more efficiently while improving accuracy and accountability.
Â
Another key component of the partnership is Teamworks General Manager, which will help Murray State Athletics navigate the increasingly complex financial and tax compliance landscape. The platform provides compliance support for all student-athletes.
Â
"Murray State Athletics has been part of the Teamworks family, and this expansion is a testament to what a unified platform can unlock," Senior Vice President & GM of Teamworks and Murray State alumnus Mark Morris said. "They came to us ready to lean further into technology, consolidating data, streamlining documentation, and scaling operations across their department. We're excited to deepen this partnership and look forward to supporting the Racers for years to come"Â
Â
Additionally, expanding the Teamworks portfolio gave the department access to an electronic medical record (EMR) solution that seamlessly integrates with the department's existing systems. By centralizing student-athlete health information, Murray State's sports medicine staff will have access to more efficient workflows, enhanced communication and improved continuity of care for all student-athletes.
Â
Murray State had previously been utilizing Teamworks Hub to enhance internal and external communication and centralize the flow of information regarding student-athlete service, simplifying logistics and allowing minimal distractions to set student-athletes up for success in both the classroom and competition.
