2006: All-OVC Second Team honoree...season was cut short when he broke his wrist at Eastern Kentucky on April 14...had team-high .385 batting average with a .452 on-base percentage...hit .476 in OVC play...went 4-for-4 with three runs against Akron on March 13...had four RBIs against Eastern Illinois on April 8...had a co-team-high three triples...fielded .975 at second base...tied for third on the team with 50 hits, a team-best 1.51 hits per game...shared the team lead with three stolen bases.
2005: Led all regular hitters with a .336 average...tied for the team lead with 71 hits...second on the team with 47 runs...had an on-base percentage of .403...had a season-high four hits against Austin Peay State...scored a season-high four runs against Tennessee Tech...drove in a season-high three runs twice...had two of his three stolen bases in one game at Eastern Illinois...led the team with 11 sacrifice bunts...played in 56 games, all starts.
2004: Played in 40 games, starting in 31...scored 17 runs...had a season-high three hits against Western Kentucky on March 24 with two doubles...had defensive season-highs at Eastern Illinois on April 4 with four putouts and six assists.
BEFORE MSU: Bolstered Cape Central High to a combined 29-21 record over his two seasons under coach Steve Williams...part of a 19-7 team his senior season (2003)...named to all-state honors as well as all-conference first-team accolades...batted .478 with 13 doubles and 23 stolen bases...named to first-team all-conference in his junior year (2002)...batted .481 with 14 doubles, four triples and 27 stolen bases...set school record for stolen bases and tied school mark for hits...named all-conference first team in football.
PERSONAL: Born Seth Matthew Hudson on Jan. 17, 1985, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the son of Roger and Bettie Hudson...has one brother, Zac (19)...graduated 52nd in a class of more than 400 with a grade-point average of 9.8 on an 11-point scale (proportionate to a 3.56 on a 4-point scale)...a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America and Lettermans Club...majoring in biology.
