2009: Posted a 4-2 record with a 4.64 ERA in 16 appearances...made 11 starts, serving as the team’s third starter most of the season...ranked third on the team with 83.1 innings pitched...picked up first win of the season after allowing four runs and tieing career best with six strikeouts over seven innings against Freed-Hardeman...tossed four shutout innings of relief against SEMO...earned a victory in a midweek start against Memphis...surrenedered one unearned runs over five innings against Tennessee Tech...allowed one earned run on sixt hits over seven innings in a victory over Austin Peay...tossed seven innings and allowed four runs in a no decision against Eastern Illinois in the OVC Tournament.
2008: Went 0-2 with a 4.58 ERA in 13 appearances and five starts...allowed just one run on three hits over four innings against Belmont...did not allow a base runner and struckout three over three innings of relief against Arkansas State...limited then-No. 21 Kentucky to just one run on two hits over 6.2 innings...fanned a career-best six in that contest.
2007: Was sidelined early in the season with an injury, making only three appearances and two starts...received a medical hardship waiver for the season...struck out four batters in 4.2 innings at Kentucky.
2006: Went 1-2 with a 3.92 earned-run average in 17 appearances...had 21 strikeouts to 14 walks...first career win came against Akron...had a season-high three strikeouts three times...pitched an outstanding seven-inning game against Lambuth, most of which was in extra innings, allowing only one earned run.
BEFORE MSU: In his junior season at Floyd Central High, helped the Highlanders to the sectional championship...named first-team all-conference that year, as well as Offensive Player of the Year...hit .404 with 42 RBIs, and had a record of 7-2 on the mound with a 2.5 ERA...also played basketball at FCHS... earned the Academic Honors diploma.
PERSONAL: Born Marc Alan Harmon on Feb. 9, 1987...son of Alex and Teresa Harmon...has three brothers, Rick, Jack and Joe...majoring in health and physical education.
