BEFORE MSU: Played three seasons at Edwardsville High School for head coach Tim Funkhouser...helped lead the Tigers to a 34-5 record and the Southwest Conference championship in 2009...earned first-team all-conference honors after going 8-2 with a 2.05 ERA and one save...struckout 63 in 51 innings...went 5-1 with a 1.90 ERA as a freshman as EHS went 34-6 and advanced to the State Tournament Elite 8.
