- Played his freshman season at Central Arkansas in 2024-25 and was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team.
- Played in 20 games as a freshman, all starts, and led Central Arkansas in scoring at 17.4 points per game, while dishing out 73 assists against only 33 turnovers.
- Led the team with 64 3-point baskets and was an 89 percent shooter from the free throw line.
- With six games of scoring 20 or more points, Taylor had a two-game run that included 27 and 29 points against Bellarmine and Eastern Kentucky.
- Added 10 assists in the EKU game to mark his first career double-double.
- Played for his father, Johnny Taylor, at Farmington High School where he compiled more than 450 wins and a pair of Arkansas State Championships.
- Taylor became the No. 3 all-time scorer in Arkansas high school history with 3,372 points.
- As a senior in 2023-24, he was the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Preps Player of the Year.
- Helped Farmington to a record of 124-12 in his four seasons and was a four-time All-State selection.
