Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Busy Two Weeks of Action

The Murray State men's tennis team will wrap up a busy two weeks of action, with the final of six matches since March 13. The Racers (3-6, 1-1 OVC) will first battle with No. 40 Louisville in Louisville, Ky., Wednesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. MSU will then return home to face Harding, Thursday, March 21 at noon at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts.

Louisville is currently 10-8 on the season after winning its last match. The Cardinals have played two other schools from the Ohio Valley Conference this season, earning wins over Austin Peay (7-0) and Tennessee Tech (6-1). The Racers and Louisville have played each other once a year for the last five seasons, with the Cardinals earning 7-0 wins in each of those meetings.

The final match of the two-week swing is against the Bison of Harding, an NCAA DII member. Harding is undefeated this season (16-0) and will face LeMoyne-Owen College March 21 before traveling to Murray.

After this week's matches the Racers will have five days off before restarting the OVC portion of the season, March 28 at Tennessee Tech.
