Men's Tennis Opens 2013 Season This Weekend

The Murray State men's tennis team will kick off its 2013 season with a pair of road matches this weekend.
The Racers will first travel to Louisville to face the Cardinals in a match at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. On Sunday afternoon MSU will head to Nashville where it will face Middle Tennessee State at 2 p.m.
The Racers return to action after over a two month break following the fall season in which MSU competed in four tournaments. In those four tournaments, the Racers were led by senior Tyler Jeffers. The senior from Charlotte, N.C., compiled two second-place finishes and a consolation runner-up during the fall lineup.
The Racers are led by Head Coach Mel Purcell who enters his 17th season at the helm of Murray State. Entering this season, Purcell has compiled 124 victories at MSU, including 54 in OVC play.
