Murray State's men's tennis team dropped their fourth straight match and third this week at the hands of Oral Roberts, 7-0. The Racers fall to 1-7 on the season heading into a weekend with a pair of OVC matches against Tennessee State (March 22) and Belmont (March 23).
MSU lost all three doubles matches as the Golden Eagles took the early 1-0 lead. Aleks and Nicholas Mitric had the closest doubles match at the No. 2 draw. Facing Amar Saletovic and Parker Allen, the Mitric brothers lost 8-3.
Nicholas Mitric also held his own playing at No. 4 singles. Mitric dropped the first set to Allen 6-1 before playing a competitive 6-4 second set.
Adam Taylor and Max McLean also both lost, 6-1, 6-4, at first and second singles respectively. Aleks Mitric fell 6-2, 6-2 at the third slot to Jack Busby.
A year ago the Racers' only conference victory came over Tennessee State. MSU will look to secure its first of the 2014 season Saturday against the Tigers.
