The Breds open Ohio Valley Conference action as they welcome Morehead State to Reagan Field for a three-game series. The weather has altered the series as the team's will now play Saturday-Monday. The series gets underway at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. the final two days.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Breds and Eagles are opening conference play against each other for the second-straight season. Last year, the teams were forced to play in Mason, Ohio due to field conditions. The Breds hold a 58-44-1 advantage in the all-time series, but the Eagles have won four of the last six meetings.

Weekend Baseball
The Breds return to action by opening up OVC play against Morehead State. The series is slated to be on March 8-10 at Reagan Field.

The weather for the weekend is calling for temperatures from the low 50s to near 60 with very little chance of precipitation.

The Breds and Eagles are meeting to open conference play for the second-straight season. The Eagles took the series last year in Mason, Ohio. MOR has won four of the last six meetings.
Series Shifted
For the second-straight season, the series between the two teams will be backed up. Last season, the series was played on Saturday and Sunday in Mason, Ohio. This year, the series is backed up until Sunday and Monday.
OVC Openers
The Breds have not had success on opening weekend as they have not won the first series of the season since 2007 (Samford). MSU split a two-game series with Austin Peay in 2011.
6 Earned Runs
The Murray State pitching staff allowed just six earned runs in the three-game series against North Dakota State. It marks the fewest earned runs allowed in a three-game series since April 19-21, 2013 against Alabama A&M. MSU also allowed just five earned runs against UT Martin on April 9-11, 2012.
Murray Duo
The duo of Brock Downey and John Lollar combined on a two-hit shutout against North Dakota State. Both players played their prep ball at Murray High School.
