The Breds close out their 2014 home schedule as they welcome Belmont to Reagan Field for a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series on May 9-11. The series is set to get underway Friday at 3 p.m., and continue with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Breds and Bruins have met 20 times, and the two teams have split the series. MSU had the early advantage in the series, but the Bruins have won five of the last six meetings. This will be just the second time the teams will meet as conference foes. BEL swept the three-game series in 2013.

The Breds close out the 2014 home season with a three-game series against Belmont on May 9-11.
Weekend Weather
Rain is in the forecast for the early part of the weekend as thunderstorms are possible on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures are expected in the low 70s the first two days, and 81 on Sunday.
vs. Belmont
The Breds are looking for their first victory over Belmont as an OVC foe. The Bruins swept the OVC series in Nashville last season. MSU is 6-3 in games played at Reagan Field.
Three Seniors to be Honored
Three seniors will be honored on Sunday as pitchers Cameron Finch and Tyler Saltsman, along with outfielder Ty Stetson, will play their final game at Reagan Field.
Tight Racer for OVC Tourney
The race for the OVC Tournament is going to come down to final game of the season as six teams are separated by just three games for the final four spots. Â
Stetson Chasing Career Hits Record
Senior Ty Stetson joined the 200-hit club earlier this season and is now closing in on the all-time hits record at Murray State.

Finch Moves Up Record Books
Senior Cameron Finch continues to climb the career record books. He currently ranks fifth in appearances (64), ninth in starts (34) and fifth in innings pitched (258.1).
Bayus Shows Off Power
Anthony Bayus showed off his power at SEMO as he homered in back-to-back games. He fell a single shy of the cycle in the middle game of the series, then came back with an opposite-field home run in his first at-bat in the finale.
Building a Snowman
In what was probably the hottest weather game to date, the Breds offense built a snowman in the fourth inning en route to an 11-6 victory over SEMO. Each of the first nine hitters reached in the inning.
On Deck
The Breds play Kentucky at Brooks Stadium in Paducah on May 13. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
