Men's Tennis Competes in Fall Matches

Murray State men's tennis opened up fall play at the 2015 USTA/ITA Regional Championships October 15-19 in Knoxville, Tenn.
Each of the four players for Murray State faced tough competition in the tournament.
Junior David Hess started the tournament dropping his first match 7-5, 3-6, 2-6. He then played on the consolation side of the bracket, dropping the next match 0-6, 2-6.
Sophomore Will True dropped his first match 1-6, 2-6. In his second match, he lost 0-6, 7-5 (33).
Sophomore Srdjan Trosic came up short in his matches as he lost the first 1-6, 1-6, and the second 0-6, 1-6.
Freshman Javier Villar showed promise as a newcomer from the Racers. Villar battled but ultimately came up short dropping his first match 5-7, 2-6 and his second 3-6, 3-6.
In the doubles pairings Trosic and Villar dropped their match 3-8. True and Hess also dropped their match 2-8.
The Racers will be back on the court October 30 for the Louisville Invitational in Louisville, Ky. For more information on the Men's tennis team, check out goracers.com
