Racers Compete at the Commodore Invite

Murray State track and field travels to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the Vanderbilt Commodore Invite on Friday and Saturday. The Racers come into the meet after running impressive times at the Vanderbilt Indoor Opener.
Tamdra Lawrence comes into the meet after winning OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week. In her last meet, Lawrence placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 24.90 which places her fifth in the event all-time at Murray State. She also placed third overall the 60 meters with a time of 7.60 which moves her into second place all-time for MSU in the event. Both times lead the OVC.
Along with Lawrence, Deja Rodgers competed in the 60 meters. Her time of 7.75 put her fourth on the Murray State All-Time list.
In her last meet, Brittany Bohn ran a 4:59 mile which ranks third in school history. She also competed in the 800 meters and finished with a time of 2:14 which is the seventh best time in school history. Both times lead the OVC.
Freshman Jabreuna Brimlett placed sixth in the 60m hurdles in her first collegiate meet with a time of 8.83. The time places her fourth all-time at MSU.
The Commodore Invite will take place at the Vanderbilt Indoor Track Facility over the course of two days. Friday's field events start at 4:00 p.m. and the running events start at 7:00 p.m. Links to the live results and heat sheets are attached.
