Racers Rally to Defeat Olivet Nazarene

The Murray State men's tennis team won their first match of the season as they defeated Olivet Nazarene 4-3 on Saturday.The doubles point as well as a strong comeback by Javier Villar were crucial in the Racers victory.
The Racers came out strong in the doubles matches. Srdjan Trosic/Javier Villar and David Schrott/Marcel Ueltzhoeffer pulled out wins to give the Racers the doubles point.
The Racers fell behind early after winning the doubles point. Ueltzhoeffer pulled out a win (7-5, 1-6, 6-4) to keep the Racers hopes alive. Hess followed along winning his match 6-4, 6-1. The decision would come down to Villar. Villar would take the first set easily as he won 6-1. He would fall in his next match 2-6. In his third match he rallied from being down 3-1 to force a tie breaker. Villar would win the tie breaker 7-6 (7-3) to secure the victory for Murray State.
The Racers hit the road for their next match as they take on Middle Tennessee on Friday. Match time set for 1 p.m.
