Racer Track Travels to Bowling Green

The Murray State women's track and field team travels to Bowling Green, Kentucky to compete in the Hilltopper Relays on Friday and Saturday.
The Racers are come into the meet after having a great weekend for the distance runners. Vallery Korir set a school record as well as a facility record as she ran 35:08 in the 10,000 meters at the Wash U Invite in St. Louis. Her time ranks 31st in the NCAA East Region. Korir won her first adidas® OVC Co-Female Track Athlete of the Week award for her efforts. She takes home the first OVC weekly honor of the outdoor season and third overall weekly honor of the track and field season.
Leah Krause (36:51) and Meagan Smith (37:31) also set personal records in the event which landed them on the all-time best list at Murray State. At the same meet, Rebekah Priddy set a personal record in the 5,000 meters as she ran 17:53.
