The Game
The Murray State women's basketball team looks to stay unbeaten at home Saturday when it hosts Alabama A&M at 5 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Racers never trailed by more than 11 points in the second half Tuesday night at the First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro, but could never cut Arkansas State's lead to less than five, falling for just the second time this season, 74-63. The Racers led for most of the first quarter and held a 17-14 lead at the end of the first stanza. However, when the Red Wolves took the lead on a Jordan Elder three-pointer with 4:43 left in the second quarter, Murray State would never be able to regain the lead, eventually falling by 11. Evelyn Adebayo led Murray State with 18 points on the night, including going 2-for-3 from 3-point range and 6-for-6 from the free throw line, to go along with nine rebounds. Macey Turley followed with 15 points, while Lex Mayes followed with 13. Cekeya Mack tied Adebayo for most rebounds in the game with nine, while Alexis Burpo had eight.
The Alabama A&M Series
Saturday will be the 12th meeting all-time between the two teams with Murray State leading 8-3. The Bulldogs snapped a three-game win streak in the series by Murray State when they beat the Racers in Huntsville, 71-54. Despite the loss last season, the Racers are still 5-0 against Alabama A&M at home.

The Bulldogs are 1-4 on the season and are averaging 57.2 points per game, while allowing 70.8. AAMU has lost games to Illinois, Lipscomb, UAB and Kansas with their lone win coming against OVC member Tennessee State. As a team, Murray State currently has the seventh best three-point shooting percentage in the nation at 41.8 and the nation's 12th-best three-point shooter in Lex Mayes, who is making 55.2-percent of her three-point attempts. St. Francis Brooklyn currently paces the nation in team percentage at 44.4, while Shalexxus Aaron leads individually at 72.7 percent.
