The Murray State women's basketball team will attempt to halt a six-game winning streak by Tennessee Tech when the Racers take on the Tigers Thursday at 5 p.m. at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.

Scouting The Tigers
After going winless last season, Ty Evans has engineered one of the greatest turnarounds in Division I this season. The OVC-leading Tigers are currently 9-6 on the year and undefeated in league play at 4-0.
The Tigers are currently averaging 69.2 points per game on 40.9-percent shooting from the floor with 36.2 rebounds per game, while their opponents are currently averaging 65.5 points on 41.6-percent shooting with 37.6 rebounds per game.
Tatyana Davis and Gia Adams currently lead Tennessee State in scoring on the year at 13.7 and 12.9, respectively. On the glass, Dominique Claytor leads the way at 6.5 rebounds per game, with Sierra McCullough following at 5.5.

Racers shot a season-high 58.0 percent from the floor in the game, while limiting Tennessee Tech to just 29.6. The Racers were also 50.0-percent from 3-point range by going 3-for-6, while TTU shot 30.0-percent on a 6-for-20 performance

In the second quarter of Saturday's TTU game, Murray State put together one of the most dominant quarters of the Rechelle Turner era, by outscoring Tennessee Tech, 18-3. Murray State was 8-for-13 in the stanza, while the Golden Eagles were just 1-for-13.

Protecting The Rock & Pounding The Paint
After allowing 19 points off of 11 turnovers in last week's loss to the Golden Eagles, the Racers gave up just three points Saturday off of a season-low 10 turnovers. In the paint, Murray State scored a season-high 52 points, while allowing a near season-low of just 16 points by the Golden Eagles.
