Women’s Track & Field heads to Birmingham, Alabama for 2022 OVC Indoor Championships

The Murray State Racers women's track & field team will compete at the 2022 OVC Indoor Track & Field Championship. The meet will be held February 23-24 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. This will mark the third time (2019, 2020) the event has been held at the venue.

"We are very excited that the indoor championships are finally here! We are pleased with what we have accomplished so far this indoor season, but the ultimate goal is still ahead of us. All year we have stressed how we are tougher together and I look forward to seeing what we can do collectivity as a group this week. We can't wait to get the competition started!" said Head Coach Adam Kiesler.

INDOOR SEASON WRAP UP
- Kayla Bell set the Murray State record in 300m with her time of 39.34 seconds at the Crimson & Gold Invitational.

- Dani Wright ran the second fastest mile time in Murray State history, running the mile in 4:57.35 at the Indoor Music City Challenge.

- The Racers claimed eight event wins and 17 top-three finishes at the Bellarmine Open.

- Seventeen Racers set personal bests at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic.
