- MSU meets the UIC Flames for the second time as MVC members and for the fourth time in their history in MSU's eighth of 16 regular-season home games at the CFSB Center.Â
- MSU won their only meeting last season vs UIC at home 81-64.
- MSU makes their first appearance in The Valley in Chicago against the Flames. (Jan. 17).
- Since a loss to Drake (Feb. 7), the Racers have won their last three MVC home games with wins over Evansville (Feb. 18), Valparaiso (Feb. 26) and this season over Bradley (Nov. 29).
- Justin Morgan made his first start as a Racer in his 41st career game in MSU's 75-54 win Saturday over Middle Tennessee.
- At halftime, the Racers had five players with six points or more and led MTSU 35-31. Â
