Bell, Fletcher Take Marks at Nationals

Kayla Bell is set to open the Racers’ weekend at NCAA Finals, tomorrow. Meghan Fletcher competes Saturday.
Murray State track and field's Kayla Bell will kick off the Racers' weekend at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, tomorrow.
Bell will be competing in the 800m run semifinals. She qualified for the semifinals after placing third in her heat in the quarterfinals at regionals with a school record time of 2:04.86, May 27.
Following Bell, Fletcher will compete in the high jump, Saturday. She cleared all the bars up to the 1.82m bar with no mistakes to place eighth in regionals to qualify for the finals.
The 800m is scheduled to start at 9:14 p.m., with Bell competing in the second heat. Saturday's high jump is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
With two nationals qualifiers, it is the most number of Racers competing in the nationals in at least 25 years.
