Game Story Lines

In their second season in The Valley, the Racers have won nine of their last 14 MVC games (including Arch Madness).
The Racers won the first meeting with the Bradley Braves at home (Nov. 29) 79-72.
Aside from dropping a 72-63 home game to Indiana State on Sunday, the Racers travel to Peoria having won their last three road games.
MSU has posted road wins at Evansville (Jan. 6) 81-59, Missouri State (Jan. 10) 77-53 and UIC (Jan. 17) 73-58.
MSU's Nick Ellington was named the MVC Newcomer of the Week for a second time this season after he averaged 20.3ppg against UIC and INST to go with 8.5 rebounds, four assists and six blocked shots.
The 13 threes the Racers saw Indiana State make on Sunday was their second-highest of the season, behind 15 made by SMU (Dec. 22).
After making double-digit free throws in nine-straight games, the Racers have not hit 10 in the games last week against UIC and Indiana State. Getting to the free throw line is one of the Racers' main scoring threats as they have made double-digits in 16-of-19 this season.
Vs UIC and Indiana State, the Racers shot 46% (55-120) from the field, 27% (11-41) from the 3-point line and 63% (15-24) from the line.
