Murray State Athletics Receives $1 Million Gift from Dairyman’s Supply Company

Gift will go towards continued enhancements around athletics footprint and future capital projects
Murray State Athletics has received a generous $1 million gift from Dairyman's Supply Company based out of Mayfield, Kentucky, it was announced on Wednesday morning.
With a significant amount of investment being poured into renovations and enhancements around the athletics footprint, this gift will be used to further that progress and for future capital projects.
"We committed to investing heavily into upgrading all of our athletics facilities and this gift will allow us to continue and do just that," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "We cannot thank everyone at Dairyman's Supply Company enough for their unwavering support of Murray State Athletics and for their investment into our student-athlete experience."
The seven-figure commitment marks the third announced by the Racers during Yantko's tenure and marks the most such commitments during a single fiscal year in department history.
"There is a tremendous amount of momentum around Murray State Athletics and we are excited to be able to invest towards the future of the Racers," President of DSC Greg Cook said. "Murray State plays a major role in our community, and we cannot wait to see its continued growth as these projects come to fruition."
Murray State has seen unprecedented growth around its facilities, having already begun more than $1.5 million in capital projects, including the newly announced weight room renovation in Roy Stewart Stadium and the renovation of the men's basketball locker room.
Other projects that have been completed over the last 18 months include the Baseball/Softball Performance Center, upgrades to football team spaces and the new LED lights in the CFSB Center.
The Racer Club plays a crucial role in helping support student-athlete scholarships, general operating budget, and facility enhancements. Investors play a critical role in funding the student-athlete experience and the competitive success of Murray State Athletics programs and student-athletes.
