- The Racers meet the Beacons for the eighth time in their history and for the fourth time in the Missouri Valley Conference.
- The Racers beat Valparaiso three times a season ago in their first MVC season with the final win coming at Arch Madness in St. Louis.Â
- After posting back-to-back wins at home over Evansville and Missouri State, the Racers have lost a pair away from home at Drake and Southern Illinois.
- The Racers can post their best home win streak of the season with three in a row, if they can defeat Valpo Saturday.
- The Racers erased a 12-point halftime deficit at Southern Illinois Wednesday, took the lead with 8:00 remaining, but fell 72-68 in a thriller that went to the final minute before the game was decided.
- Although they had a season-high 15 turnovers at SIU, they still rank 13th nationally in fewest turnovers per game at 9.5.
- The Racers are ninth in NCAA DI in fewest turnovers per game at 9.3 per game.Â
- After the Valpo game Wednesday, the Racers host the Belmont Bruins on Senior Day at the CFSB Center.
- In their eight MVC wins, the Racers shoot about 90 points better than the opponent (.511 to .415) and win the rebound stat by an average of 4.8.
- In the nine MVC losses the Racers have endured, they have shot .442, but opponents are at .481, and the opponent wins the rebound stat by an average of 5.9.
- MVC conducts its 34th St. Louis-based postseason MBB championship at Arch Madness. Tournament dates are March 7-10.
