2024-25 is the 100th season of collegiate basketball at Murray State & third in the Missouri Valley Conference.
It's a rivalry week for the Racers as they have met one this week with a win and host Belmont Saturday for the first of two games with the Bruins this season.
The Racers became one of four teams in the MVC that have won at least three league road games this season when they won 74-64 over the Southern Illinois Salukis Wednesday in Carbondale.
Former Belmont Bruin and Murray State Racer for the third season, JaCobi Wood, is closing on becoming the 47th member of the Murray State 1000-Point Club as he enters the game with 991 points.
Combining his two seasons with the Bruins (2020-22) and his three seasons with the Racers, Wood has already reached the 1500 career points mark and has 1533 in 146 career games.
