Racers Head North for Battle with South Dakota State

Murray State women's basketball is set for a midweek bout with South Dakota State on Tuesday night
Murray State women's basketball travels to Brookings, South Dakota for a Tuesday night matchup with South Dakota State at 7 p.m. Coming off of a buzzer beater victory on Friday night over Southern Indiana to open the season, the Racers face the 2-0 Jackrabbits for the first time in program history.
Halli Poock led the Racers in scoring with 22 points including a 13-13 night from the foul line in the game at USI while fellow junior guard Haven Ford put together 16 points including the game winning layup as time expired. Keslyn Secrist, Sharnecce Currie-Jelks, and Briley Pena all reached double digit scoring in the match up.
SDSU comes into the contest at 2-0 with wins over Creighton and Rice to start the season. Brooklyn Meyer leads the Jackrabbits with 27.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds.
The game will be streamed on Midco Sports Plus and aired on 97.9 WNBS.Â
