Murray State women's basketball hosts UAB for matchup at the CFSB Center
The Murray State women's basketball team returns home to the CFSB Center to host the UAB Blazers for a non-conference contest this Saturday, November 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
The Racers enter the game with a 2-2 overall record, having dropped a road contest at Illinois earlier this week. Despite the loss, the offensive firepower remains evident, with junior guard Keslyn Secrist leading the way with 17 points against the Fighting Illini. Guards Halli Poock (15 points) and Haven Ford, alongside forward Sharnecce Currie-Jelks continue to form the core of the Murray State attack.Â
UAB comes into the matchup also holding a 2-2 record, fresh off a powerful 79-66 road victory over Chattanooga. The Blazers saw a career performance from guard Eleecia Carter, who poured in 25 points while hitting four three-pointers. She was joined in double figures by Sofia Munoz (13 points) and Cali Smallwood (11 points). UAB was extremely effective at the free-throw line in their last outing, shooting 89% overall and going 18-for-18 in the fourth quarter alone. The Blazers will rely on that precision and the guard play of Carter and Munoz to challenge the Racers' up-tempo style.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and will have live stats available.
