- 2024-25 is the 100th season of collegiate basketball at Murray State & third in The MVC.
- The Racers host the first place Drake Bulldogs at 6 p.m. ESPN2.
- Murray State took the first meeting (Jan. 5) in Des Moines for their first victory over the Bulldogs in the MVC 66-59.
- As they enter the second half of their third season in The Valley, the Racers have faced the first place team six times (after Jan. 1) and are looking for their first win.
- This season (Jan. 18), the Racers hosted first place Bradley and fell 74-61 and now take aim at the Drake Bulldogs who are making their second visit to MKY since the Racers joined the MVC in 2022, a game Drake won 92-68 (02-07-23).
- Since winning three in a row with wins over Drake (Jan. 5), UNI (Jan. 8) and Valparaiso (Jan. 11), the Racers have gone into a tailspin as they are 1-5 in the last six games with a lone win at SIU (Jan. 22).
- MSU has lost their last three including a 77-56 defeat Wednesday at Missouri State.
- MSU hits the road Saturday for a 3 p.m. game at Valparasio.
- The Racers defeated the Beacons 58-47 at home (Jan. 11).
