Taylor Competes Saturday at NCAA East Regional

The Racers’ sophomore led the MVC in the high jump this spring
Murray State champion high jumper, DiamonAsia Taylor, has qualified for the NCAA Track & Field East Regional (May 28-31) in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her competition time is Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the campus of North Florida at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.Â

As the champion in the High Jump at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships last week, Taylor had already done enough to get into the NCAA Regional with a jump of 1.80M, but raised the bar to a new PR at 1.81M at the MVC meet.
Going into the East Regional, Taylor has the eighth-highest jump of the competitors that will join her in Jacksonville.
Taylor will get another chance at the Murray State record of 1.84M that was set by Meghan Fletcher set in 2024.
