Cross Country
2011: Holds the school record in the 6K in cross country, running a time of 22:16.70 at the Southeast Regional ... was named to the all-OVC team in cross country ... ran a 5K PR with a time of 18:37 at the OVC Championships and finished eighth.
Track and Field
2012: Ran a 5,000-meter outdoor PR time of 17:46.92 at the Vanderbilt Invite (4/20) ... ran a PR in the 10,000-meters at the OVC Outdoor Championships (5/4) with a time of 39:51.36 and placed sixth
Before MSU: A transfer from Middle Tennessee State where she was a member of the cross country and track & field teams for the past two seasons…finished 10th in the 3,000 meters in a time of 10:48.56 and 24th in the 5,000 meter in 19:14.20 at the 2010 Sun Belt Championships…placed 12th in the 3,000 meters and 11th in the 5,000 meters at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships in respective times of 10:53.62 and 18:36.57…was a four-year member of the Loreto High School track & field team.
Personal: Born Carolyne J. Tanui, May 15, 1991 in Eldoret, Kenya...daughter of Philiph and Betty Tanui...has one brother; Kenneth (13) and three sisters; Mercy (18), Vyonna (16) and Lynn (5)...majoring in mathematics.
