2009-10: Competed in middle distance and distance events during the indoor season…posted a season-best time of 10:56.86 at the OVC Championship in the 3,000…also ran the 800 (2:29.72), 1,000 (3:16.44) and Mile (5:29.95)…helped MSU to a season-best time in the Distance Medley of 12:22.65…only competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the outdoor season, with a best-time of 12:39.08 at the Ole Miss Invite.
2008-09: Second-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Joey Haines Invitational...placed fifth in the 3,000 at the Gladstein Invitational...finished sixth in the 1,500 at the Murray State Invitational...All-OVC Indoor Track...OVC Medal of Honor winner...OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2010: Placed 9th at the Saluki Early Bird with a time of 15:42.4…recorded a season-best time of 19:23.67 at the Memphis Twilight to place 73rd…completed the course at the Tennessee Tech Invite in 21:05 to place 9th…finished 27th at the Evansville Invite, recording a finishing-time of 19:31.07…placed 36th at the OVC Championships with a time of 20:27.52…competed at the NCAA Regional, turning in a time of 24:28.44.
2009: Opened the season with a time of 16:08 in the 4k at the Belmont Opener...finished 23rd at the Commodore Invite, running a season-best of 19:45...placed 15th at the Saluki Invitational, completing the course in 20:02...finished a season-high 13th at the Tennessee Tech Invite with a time of 20:50...placed 23rd at the Evansville Invitation in 20:16...ran 21:19 at the OVC Championships, placing 24th overall....competed at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a time of 25:07 in the 6k.

Before MSU: Attended Pickerington High School North in Pickerington, Ohio...under coach Jim Langenderfer, helped the Panthers become the 2005 OCC champions, and finished in 8th-place in the 4x800 relay at state...in 2006, placed 3rd in the 4x800 relay at state, and also set personal records in the 800 (2:16), 1600 (5:10), and 3200 (11:32)...helped the Panthers become the OCC champions once again in 2007.
Personal: Born Karissa Danielle Magnuson, Feb. 13, 1990 in Pickerington, Ohio...daughter of Todd and Cindy Magnuson...has two brothers, Matt (21) and Isaac (14), and one sister, Nicole (24)…majoring in animal technology/veterinary technology/pre-veterinary medicine option.
