Before MSU: Attended Eastern and Atherton High School in Louisville, Ky.…placed 6th at state in 2009…placed 3rd at nationals in 2009.
Personal: Born Bernadette A. Catron, July 31, 1992 in Burbank, Calif….daughter of John Bortka and Sonia Perez…has two sisters, Maxine (16) and Ezra (13)…majoring in biology/pre-med.
