Bohn Wins 3000m Steeplechase at WKU

Murray State track & field competed in the final day of the Hilltopper Relays in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Day Two - Hilltopper Relays
Brittany Bohn set a new personal record in the 3000m steeplechase. Last weekend, she set her personal record at 11:20.93, this week she set the record at 11:03.25. This time moves her into second best time at Murray State, and led her to take first in the event.

Ali Hester also competed in the 3000m steeplechase and finished in 11:18.33 and came in third in the event.
Â
Tonia Pratt threw 45.93m in the discus to land in third. She also threw 14.22m in the shot put which gave her a sixth place finish.

Deja Rodgers set a new personal record with a time of 25.50 in the 200m. Morgan McNeely finished the dash in 26.53, while Natalie Pattin finished in 27.38.

Natalie Pattin set a new personal record in the 400m with a time of 59.90.

Sydney Potts threw the javelin 36.36m, while Marina Keller set a personal record with her throw of 26.14m.

Emani Griffin, Rebekah Priddy and Summer Wheeler competed for the first time in the 800m and finished in 2:28.56, 2:33.26 and 2:31.95, respectively.

Jacquelyn Thate and Healtherly Paschall set personal records in the 800m with respective finishes of 2:25.99 and 2:36.09.

Taylor Adcock finished fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.77.

LeShea Shaw led the way in the 100m hurdles with her time of 14.87. Taylor McCammon and Jolyta Henderson set personal records when they completed the event in 15.03 and 15.59, respectively. Sarah Bindel also set a new personal record when she finished in 16.47. Â

Taylor McCammon competed in the long jump and finished with a distance of 4.94m (16'2.50").

Deja Rodgers, Victoria Yocum and Morgan McNeely competed in the 100m where Rodgers finished in a time of 12.45. Yocum and McNeely finished in respective times of 12.77 and 12.94.

During the 1500m, Heatherly Paschall set a new personal record with a time of 5:07.98. Rebekah Priddy competed in the event for the first time and finished in 5:07.74, while Raeven Wilson finished in 5:06.71.

The 4x100m relay team which consisted of LaShea Shaw, Anna Curlin, Deja Rodgers and Taylor McCammon finished in 47.80, which ties the season best finish.

Murray State entered two teams in the 4x400m relay. The first finished in 4:04.58 and consisted of Shaw, Adcock, Pattin, and Weston, while the second team finished in 4:12.36 and was comprised of Curlin, Weston, Wheeler, and Wilson.Â
Day One – Hilltopper Relays
The only event that took place on Friday at the Hilltopper Relays was the hammer throw.

Last week at the Margaret Simmons Relay, Tonia Pratt threw the hammer 59.82m, this week she threw 59.24m. She ended up in fourth place out of the tough competition.
Â
Fellow Racers, Brianna McCarthy and Lexy Schleper competed in the event. McCarthy threw 39.72m, while Schleper threw 39.00m.
Â
The Hilltopper Relays continue Saturday with the field events start on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the discus, while the track events start with the 4x100 relay at 12 p.m.

Day Two – Tennessee Relays
Ashley Conway finished her part in the heptathlon with a final score of 4590 which landed her in eighth place. She finished with a personal record in the javelin with a distance of 33.66m (110'5"), while she had the second furthest distance in the long jump with a jump of 5.66m (18'7"). The final event to wrap up the heptathlon was the 800m which she finished in 2:45.10.

Emma Gilmore competed in the 800m and finished in 2:14.48. Vallery Korir ran in the 5000m race and ran a personal best 16:59, which secured her spot as second best time in MSU history.

Day One
Ashley Conway is the lone Racer competing in the heptathlon at the Tennessee Relays. She left day one with a score of 2781. She set a personal record in the 200m with a time of 26.68, while she finished third in the shot put with a distance of 11.81m (38'9"). Her 100m hurdle time was 15.99, which is a best this season, but falls short of her personal record, and during her high jump she cleared 1.55m (5'1") which gave her an eighth place finish in the high jump.Â
Leah Krause, who has competed in the 10k before during her time here at MSU set a new personal record when she finished in 38:47.68 to finish in fourth.Meagan Smith, Abbie Oliver and Emily Flaherty all made their 10k debuts under the lights at the Tom Black Track Complex. Smith came in eighth when she finished the 10k in 39:02.60. Flaherty and Oliver finished right behind each other with respective times of 39:36.79 and 39:38.76.Â

Murray State track and field will compete next at the APSU Invitational hosted by Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee.Â
