Men's Tennis Drops Match to Eastern Kentucky

On Saturday, the men's tennis team lost their second straight OVC match as they fell to Eastern Kentucky 7-0 in Richmond.
The doubles point proved to be a challenge for they Racers. Partners Marcel Ueltzhoeffer and David Schrott played against the No. 53 ranked doubles pair Alex Alvaro and Ramon van Flymen. Ueltzhoeffer and Schrott fell at the No 1 doubles 6-2.David Hess and Srdjan Trosic fell next at the No. 2 doubles 6-3 to clinch the 1-0 lead for the Colonels.
MSU did not have better luck in the singles matches. Ueltzhoeffer fell at the No. 1 singles court 6-3, 7-6. Will True played a close match at the No. 2 singles court. True fell in his match 6-4, 7-6. Schrott played at the No. 3 singles for the first time in OVC play. He fell in his match 7-5, 6-4.
Murray State (2-12, 0-2) returns home for OVC matches on Friday. The Racers will face Eastern Illinois on Friday at 1 p.m. MSU will also play SIUE on Saturday at Bennie Purcell Courts with the match set to start at 1 p.m.
