Lawrence Ready to Run in NCAA East Preliminaries

Tamdra Lawrence, the OVC Track Athlete of the Year, will compete Thursday evening in the NCAA East Preliminaries in Jacksonville, Florida.
Lawrence will be the 100m at 5:30 p.m. CST. Her time of 11.36 she ran at Memphis earlier in the year qualified her for the East Preliminaries for the third straight year.
The senior is coming off a very successful OVC Championship meet where she was named Track Athlete of the Championship after winning gold in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. With her win in the 100m, she became the first female in OVC history to win four straight golds in the event. Her three wins also helped the Racers claim their first OVC team title since 1992.
