Murray State track and field close meet at Kentucky with five event winners and five new program top-ten performances.
Murray State track and field wrap two-day meet at Kentucky with five event winners and five new program top-10 performances.
After closing day one with three new program top-10 performances, Jenna Pauly adds two more today.
Pauly joined the six-meter club and jumped up to seventh in the all-time top-10 list, yesterday. She placed fourth in the pole vault with a new personal record of 3.81m, updating her two spot in the program all-time.
She came back a few hours later to clock a time of 14.16 seconds in the 100m hurdles prelims, eighth all-time in Racer history.
"Jenna Pauly really had a lot of things come together this weekend that should give her a lot of confidence moving forward," said head coach Adam Kiesler.
Despite the rain and wind, the Racers were still able to perform close to their personal records.
"Just like most of the outdoor season we had to battle a few elements," said Kiesler.
"But those who competed today continued the energy from yesterday and came away with some good performances."
This meet is the Racers' final tune up before the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The MVC Championships will be hosted by Illinois State at Normal, Ill., May 12-14.
