Game Story Lines

In their second season in The Valley, the Racers are 17-16 in MVC games (including Arch Madness).
This game is the second meeting between the Racers and Panthers after UNI took the game in Murray 70-60 (Jan. 14).
The Racers have matched the three road wins they had last season when they won at Valparaiso, Evansville and Illinois State.
This season, the Racers won three in a row at UE, Missouri State and UIC.
After Saturday's game in Cedar Falls, MSU had remaining road games at Belmont, SIU, Drake and Indiana State.
MSU wants to get it's rebounding game going again.
Entering the UNI game, the Racers are 12th in the MVC in rebound defense at 24.1rpg and 10th in total rebounds at 33.7rpg.
In the home losses last week, the Racers lost the rebound battle by 14 to SIU and a season-high 17 rebounds to Illinois State.
In their MVC wins, the Racers are winning the rebound stat by +5.6, but are on the trailing end in their losses by -8.4rpg.
MSU's season-high rebound margin was in their last win at UIC when they had a margin of 16 rebounds in Chicago against the Flames.
However, MSU's offensive rebound game has remained strong at fourth in The Valley at 9.6 per game.
Saturday marks MSU's second game at the McLeod Center since joining the MVC.
UNI won the first meeting 2023 in Cedar Falls 75-67.
