The Murray State Racers meet the Missouri State Bears for a 3rd time this season and a first at State Farm Arch Madness, Thursday at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis in a 12:07 p.m. tip.
The Racers (No. 8) & Bears (No. 9), the winner faces No. 1 Indiana State Friday at the same time.
The Enterprise Center is hosting Arch Madness for a 34th consecutive year.
It's the Racers' went 1-1 in 2023 at Arch Madness with a 78-50 win over Valparaiso and a 72-64 loss to the champion Drake Bulldogs.
MSU has 6 players who played in Arch Madness: Rob Perry, Quincy Anderson, JaCobi Wood, Justin Morgan, Brian Moore and Sam Murray.
Perry, Anderson and Wood combined to score 82 of MSU's 140 points in the two games.
The Racers won both meetings with the Bears this season, with a 77-53 win in Springfield (Jan. 10) and a home 82-72 victory (Feb. 14).
Quincy Anderson scored 27 points in the two games and JaCobi Wood 31 points.
The Racers had 17 steals against the Bears.
In Sunday's season final in Terre Haute, the Racers gave MVC champion Indiana State a good run as they made it a 6-point game with four minutes remaining, before the Sycamores hit the Racers with a 12-6 to win the game 89-77.
Counting all games, the Racers are 21-21 in their first two seasons in The Valley.
Against the top-6 seeds (Indiana State, Drake, Bradley, UNI, Belmont and Southern Illinois) the Racers are 5-18 in two seasons in The Valley.
Against the 7-12 seeds (Illinois State, Missouri State, Evansville, UIC and Valparaiso) the Racer are 16-3.
