Marathon Racers Win Second Consecutive Double Overtime Game

Murray State women's basketball extended their winning streak to 10 games, defeating Bradley 93-82
Halli Poock and Sharnecce Currie-Jelks each recorded double-doubles to lead Murray State to a 93-82 double-overtime victory over Bradley on Sunday night at the CFSB Center.
Poock finished with a team-high 26 points and 10 assists, while Currie-Jelks dominated the glass with 24 points and 20 rebounds. The Racers (12-2, 3-0 MVC) outscored the Braves 15-4 in the second overtime period to secure the win after a back-and-forth contest that featured 16 lead changes and nine ties.
Keslyn Secrist added 18 points for Murray State, and Haven Ford contributed 11 points in the win. The Racers' offense was efficient from the free-throw line, connecting on 20-of-23 (87%) attempts.
Bradley (8-6, 1-2 MVC) was led by Maya Foz, who scored a game-high 29 points. Kaylen Nelson added 16 points, while Amy O'Hara came off the bench to provide 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Braves.
The game remained tight throughout regulation. Murray State held a 53-47 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but Bradley rallied with a 23-17 frame to force the first overtime tied at 70-70. Both teams traded buckets in the initial five-minute extra period, each scoring eight points to send the game into a second overtime.
Murray State finally pulled away in the final five minutes, hitting 5-of-6 shots from the field in the second overtime to seal the victory. The Racers capitalized on turnovers throughout the night, scoring 28 points off Bradley miscues.
