Will be counted on to give the Racers a big presence in the middle this season and to lead the way defending the paint...Showed signs of great improvement last season...Talented shot blocker...Has great size but also is very mobile for a player of his height...Has improved greatly in his ability to finish inside, especially late in the season.
2004-2005 Season: As a junior, was the Racers’ leading shot blocker with 34 ranking him sixth in the OVC...In a three-game stretch against Texas-San Antonio, Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois, Pearson had a total of nine blocks...Scored a season high 17 on 7-8 shooting against Eastern Illinois on Feb. 26, also had seven rebounds and three blocked shots...In a pair of games against Austin Peay (Feb. 12 and UT-Martin Feb. 15 had a combined 26 points and 13 rebounds in two MSU wins...Started the first eight games of the season and then the last eight games of the season.
2003-2004 Season: Sat out of competition and practiced with the Racers’ squad...Played in the summer for the Barbados National Team...Had a tournament-high 23 points in a loss to the host team from the
2002-2003 Season: As a sophomore at Murray State JC, he emerged as one of the top junior college centers...Scored 15 points per game along with eight rebounds per game...Was ranked by one recruiting service as the eighth best center in the country.
