Racers Finish Strong At Memphis Tiger Invitational

The Murray State women's track and field team concluded action at the Memphis Tiger Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday, April 28.
High Jump
Aubrey Main placed fifth with a mark of 1.65m in the high jump for the Racers.
Pole Vault
Emily Heil set a PR in the pole vault with a mark of 3.52m (11' 6.25''), which is good for second all-time in Murray State pole vaulting history.
Shot Put
Destiny Carey finished with a mark of 13.18m in the shot put, good for ninth. Jewel Wagner placed 12th with a mark of 12.09m. Christina Meinhardt placed 15th with a mark of 11.95m and Aubrey Main finished with a mark of 9.55m.
Discus Throw
Meinhardt led the way for the Racers in the Discus throw with a mark of 38.69m, good for a new season best. Her previous season best came at the Island meet with a throw of 37.29m. Carey finished with a throw of 31.10m.
4 X 100-Meter Relay
The Racers 4 x 100-meter relay team of Daijah White, Norma Abdur-Rafia, Jabreuna Brimlett and Tamdra Lawrence finished first with a time of 45.96. That time is also good for the second fastest in school history.
100-Meter Dash
Lawrence posted the fastest time in the 100-meter dash with a finish of 11.74. White was close behind Lawrence, finishing third with a time of 12.03 and now the fifth fastest time in the OVC this season and a new season best. Abdur-Rafia placed 11th with a time of 12.27 while Brimlett placed 16th with a time of 12.37.
100-Meter Hurdles
Brimlett took first place for the Racers in the 100-meter hurdles, as she finished with a time of 13.39. Taylor McCammon came in seventh with a time of 14.53, setting a new season best. Her previous season best was 14.55 at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
400-Meter Run
Hilary McAdam came in third place in the 400-meter run with a time of 56.23, eclipsing her previous season high of 59.43. Her time of 56.23 is good for seventh all-time in Racers 400-meter times. Summer Wheeler was next for the Racers, finishing 16th with a time of 1:00.23.
800-Meter Run
Ida Mutai posted the fasted time for Murray State in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.60 and sets a new season high. Mutai's previous high was 2:30.50 at the Island meet. Rebekah Priddy placed 15th with a time of 2:26.25 and Caroline Grogan finished with a time of 2:30.08.
4 X 400-Meter Relay
The Racers 4 x 400-meter relay team finished fifth with a time of 3:50.02.
Murray State concludes the outdoor season with the Ohio Valley Championship hosted by Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee, from Thursday, May 10 to Saturday, May 12.
