Was named the 2006 Ohio Valley Conference Co-Female Field Athlete of the Year...Won the 20 pound weight throw at the OVC Indoor Championships, with a toss of 54’04.00" (16.56 meters), which was a Murray State school record and the OVC’s best throw of the 2007 season...Finished in second place in the shot put competition at the OVC Indoors, with a toss of 42’09.50" (13.04 meters)...Season best shot put occurred on Feb. 16 at the Indiana Hoosier Hills Invitational, where she tossed 44’01.25"...Recorded a third place finish at the OVC Outdoor Championships in the shot put, throwing 43’11.25"...Was named OVC Athlete of the Week for the week of May 2, 2006 after she broke the Murray State record with a toss of 45 feet, 10.75 inches in the shot put at the WKU Invitational.BEFORE MSU: Attended Virgil/Grissom High School in Huntsville, Ala., where she graduated with a 3.2 GPA...Led the Tigers to five state indoor/outdoor championships and two runner-up finishes...Was named All-Metro all four years...Also lettered in basketball at VGHS.
