Originally from Mayfield, KY., Josh Perigo returns home to Murray State for the 2007-08 season as the Director of Sales and Broadcasting.
Having spent the last 16 years living in nearby Clarksville, TN., Perigo begins his sixth year as a broadcaster, and his duties this year on the Murray State Sports Network will include doing play-by-play for women’s basketball and being a color analyst for football as well as men’s basketball. He will also serve as host for the Murray State television coach’s shows, which air throughout the season.
While in Clarksville, Perigo spent four years broadcasting basketball and football at Austin Peay State University, as well as basketball and football for the high schools in Montgomery County. He also was the host of both the men’s and women’s basketball coach’s shows that aired on WKAG in Hopkinsville.
In addition to broadcasting, Perigo was also a high school basketball coach for three years, has officiated basketball and umpired softball for the past seven years.
