Fulton Hart is in his third year as one of Murray State’s three assistant athletic trainers. Hart's primary responsibility is serving as the trainer for Racer football.
The 2005 Murray State University graduate has spent the past two years working at the collegiate and professional level.
After earning his bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science, with an emphasis in athletic training, from MSU in August 2005, Hart accepted a graduate assistant position at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La.
At SELU, Hart coordinated coverage for the men’s and women’s track and tennis teams while assisting with football practice and game coverage. As part of his duties he provided daily evaluations, treatments and rehabilitation of injured student-athletes.
In addition to his work in the Southeastern Louisiana training room, Hart also served as an instructor in the school’s CAATE accredited athletic training program, teaching Prevention and Management of Motor Performance Injuries, and Athletic Taping and Protective Equipment.
In the spring of 2006 Hart joined the NFL’s New Orleans Saints as an athletic trainer intern. With the Saints, Hart assisted with the athletic training coverage of organized team activities, including all home football games.
Hart has also served as a PRN Athletic Trainer for North Oakes Health System. His duties there included providing athletic training coverage for high school football teams in Tangipahoa Parrish.
In May 2007, Hart concluded the graduate program at SELU and earned a master’s of arts in health studies.
