Ryan Gowens begins his first year as Murray State’s equipment manager.
Gowens comes to MSU after serving as an equipment manager intern with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars for two years.With the Jaguars, Gowens was responsible for equipment related needs for special teams and the defense. He also issued, maintained and assisted in fitting football equipment, prepared equipment for daily practices and games, and assisted assistant coaches Alvin Reynolds and Dave Campo during weekly practices.
Before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gowens was an intern for one year at his alma mater,
While attending Texas A&M as a student Gowens served as a student manager for the Aggie football team. His duties included preparing all equipment for practices and games, and packing and caring for equipment during road trips.
Gowens earned a bachelor’s of business administration from A & M in 2003.
